One petal falls, displaced by a beating heart                                                                                                                                                       He loves me

One petal falls, drowned by salty tears                                                                                                                                                         He loves me not

One petal falls, cradled by fairytale dreams                                                                                                                                                   He loves me

One petal falls, withered by words unspoken                                                                                                                                                He loves me not

He loves me, he loves me not                                                                                                                                                                    He loves me, he loves me not

All the petals have fallen                                                                                                                                                                        Nothing but pieces remain

Pieces that will be silently thrown away                                                                                                                                              Symbols of broken hope never to be spoken of again
