He Never Called me pretty
He never called me pretty
I was never called pretty, or beautiful for that matter
It was all on physicality and things that were outside of my control genetics had a lot to do with my body and my soul
He never called me pretty or complimented my brown eyes even when the sun hits them just right
I wondered if he really wanted me in his life
His mother loved me and his family kept me by their side but continuously time after time I get tired of being his life line
Was I not enough ?
Was it because I didn’t smoke or drink?
Or because I am who I am and no one can can change me
He never called me beautiful
It was alwys about baking a cake that’s made for me but really for his face
I didn’t mind the things he said I wouldn’t have Minded being in his bed with my head laying on his chest as we rest
Not necessarily having my legs spread but just cuddling and talking to keep me from regret
He never called me gorgeous
Or told me that I was perfect
He made me feel like a queen when he wanted me in his sheets but was that my only purpose ?
He never called me beautiful and so I think I’m not
A boy who I thought would’ve been mine made me cry and whine and want to give up on love because he only wanted lust
Trust him with my body I must
He never called me pretty
So now I want validation from him always , even when he doesn’t want me .
I yearn for his presence and his hands to touch mine but will that fill me for two minutes than be over like the supposed great love he was to my life
I tried and I tried and I tried but he never called me beautiful or made me feel alive I cried more tears than a bird who can’t fly
He hurt me like no one ever did
said he didn’t say the stuff that he did
he’s a liar and a cheat but all I can say is that he never called me pretty ,
nope
not even to this day so
it is with a heavy heart that I say. He may never have called me pretty but someone will and until that day comes, my heart, mind and body will be still.
