Before He Said So

When he leaves he will slam the door

so hard that it will cause an earthquake within your soul.

And when your hands shake,

love them anyway.

When you begin to blame yourself, your body,

stop.

It was never you externally.

It is not your thighs when they rumble,

it is not your belly,

it is not your face without makeup.

Your body is yours.

Your body is beautiful.

And any man to leave your for your body,

which he could not see the true beauty of,

is not worth the time of day.

There is nothing anyone can do

to ruin what you have, your body.

There will be monstrous walls that will crumble,

and you will bleed.

But your heart is your strongest muscle,

and the one you should protect the most.

It is not your body.

It is not your body.

Your body is beautiful.

There is no mass wave of insults that could ever

rock your boat

and tip you over.

When you remember what he said,

you will cry.

but only a short  life of tears

will flow from your eyes.

Love is a force over which we have no control.

It is not your body.

It is not your body.

Your body is beautiful.

And when you forget what he said,

you will laugh.

And the sound of happiness

will cause a tidal wave of serenity in your soul.

It is not your body.

It is not your body.

Your body is beautiful.

And it was beautiful before he said so

before anybody said so.

Your body is beautiful.

Show them.
