He Smiles
- She dusts her memories
- with thoughts and prayers
- for those she left behind.
- Longing for them like ebb and tide.
- She spins looms of love
- laden with smiles and hope
- And somersaults days into nights
- tossing her old life into a new one
- She may not be Dorothy
- but she clicks her heels
- until you hear her cares fall
- This is how it feels to be reborn.
- As she skips down the road
- you can see good make out with bad
- faster than her heart beats
- to dreams lifting her spirit away
- If you ask her where she’s going
- she’d say unto better winds
- for she has adjusted her sails.
- Ahoy, she’s found her happiness
- With only her hands for paddles
- forward is her destination.
- She steers faith’s rudder
- to reason a truth that sets her free!
- Come what may rain or shine
- her smiles will unfold stories
- only she can tell with strides
- of happiness made not found!
