for He so loved the world.

the history in my eyes,

the tears left on my cheaks.

they are full of the stories,

I'd rather not repeat.

not because i'm ashamed,

or scared of what you might think.

but because God has given me,

no reason to retreat.

He has given me such joy,

an overwhelming love.

the want to be so much better,

to prove i am enough.

through Him with a capital h,

in sorrow we find solace.

there's no need for worry,

for in Him we are all made flawless.

for God's grace has given us all,

the power to repent.

for He so loved the world,

His son to us He sent.
