He Strums
He strums my heart away
With each fleeting day
Memories come in array
Wish such moments were here to stay
I wonder if it's me or just his way!
Should he stop I'd fall to dismay!
Who knew fingers could keep hearts abay-
Etching dreams that seem to be in delay!
My oh my words can't seem to portray-
Such solace is only his to convey!
His melodies flow through me like a ray-
Of sunlight from a summer's jay!
My oh my can it be he is my fay?
My senses are his prey
Boy my heart has a lot to weigh!
Through my life I've been known to pay-
With sorrow never though had to assay.
Thank you for saving my soul from decay.
Hope you'd never go astray
For this soul is still halfway
From heaven until you say you are okay!
