He walks in blackness

Glistening crown

Full smile, showing gladness

Dripping in Royalty

He walks in blackness

Making ancestor proud

Gliding like a brush across a canvas

Draped in purple and gold

With his head held high

He walks in blackness

White man trying to break him down using all his tactics

Always gets defeated

Cause ‘

He walks in blackness

On the prowl for a natural queen

Never intrigued by a perm or weave

Mesmerized by realness

Blinded by actresses

He’ll commit to any shade

Appreciates all sizes

A king needs his queen

To support him as

He walks in blackness
