He was I was

He was strange

One to be mocked

shamed

outcasted

He was someone I didn’t understand

So he was bad

Now I don’t know

But I want to know

I am curious

Intrigued

fascinated

Why did he do this

Why did he say that

The world is a bigger place

There is no longer one right answer

In fact there is no right answers

Or wrong answers

Or maybe there are no answers at all

Now instead of telling the story and laughing

I want to know more

I wish to know more

But I will never know more

But I grew from it

Now I know not to make that mistake again

I am grown

Until I make another mistake

And it starts over
