Head Rush Passing

Before the head rush passes

After the midnight flashes

When I forget about all the girls

and their perfume gasses

Can’t forget your lines either

Be you a fisherman or a preacher

I’ve forgotten mine so many times,

I’m surprised I haven’t met the reaper

Fucked pacing but it feels right

Heart of cold steel will melt in the sunlight

Another dog got put down, another one

caged in the pound, this makes the kind folk tight

Kaleidoscope mosaic in the corner of a chapel

You can either make out a dancer or see a jackal

Both of them luring in their prey, but none can

blame their ways, because it’s an issue too hard to tackle

Fisherman scream because the fish start swimming

Obscenity is a speciality when they aren’t winning

So much envy in the hearts of the masses, pride held

by the few with all the gold facets, but we’re all still sinning

Do fish care? I don’t imagine so

They have brains, but they can’t imagine, so

What’s the point of putting the blame on them?

There isn’t, so let’s get on with the imagination again.

Changed up the flow just a little

Meat don’t cook when it stays unturned on the griddle

Analogy is a travesty, please continue the flanking of her majesty

since she did it all oh-so gradually, calling it gravity

Meaning doesn’t mean much

You look at dogs and they say, “ruff”

Because for many, life has been tough,

but I can’t complain, I still haven’t seen much

Before the head rush passes,

after my midnight flashes,

forget about all the girls and their perfume gasses,

remember the big fish, the biggest catches

You’ll remember love, in loads and masses,

and not become one of the clans in clashes

Because we dogs have too much to lose,

we bark up a storm, only for the lightning to let loose

Then we all get striked with a mighty electric sword

from Heaven, and that’ll put the devil back into use
