Headed For The Future

Quite suddenly it spun Round and round like a merry go round It was earth It was life revolving silently, unfelt. A creature, playfully, glided quickly through air With inner feelings of a youngster Crying, screaming for help. Breathless, powerful Blossoming day by day Pleading “let me out, let me out Please let me see life for myself” Trapped forever as she felt, The inner feelings at last began to sprout Let me out, let me out, WAIT I am frightened now, keep me in! Undecided, traumatized of the world beyond This creature’s flesh, Keep me in now, I am frightened, keep me safe, keep me here. But slowly the light shone On the newly blossoms of this earth, And the feelings saw, before their eyes A beginning of this creature’s life. It was life, it was hope It was everything on earth. Love, peace, and freedom for who discovered it. So the creature ran mighty towards her future, unafraid Towards the blessings of what was now Her given life, For she took a stand, determined, And bowed to live forever, dauntless.
