heal; not love
im trying to heal, only
as i sew the pieces back together i find they no longer fit
the puzzle they once knite.
shattered and worn, you attach them to me anyways,
hopelessly searching for comfort in the maze.
im trying to heal, only
you tell me i can't feel, how i do, because it's hurting you too.
that my pain is yours, so i no longer confide.
but little did you know,
i was dying inside.
im trying to heal, only
all i see
is your face in my head, looking down on me.
you climbed in my bed and told me i was a pearl.
yet all i was to you, was just another girl.
im trying to heal, only
im losing my fucking mind.
you said our love was special?
how could i be so blind?
because its love, right?
this is not love.
you see love is not sacrafice.
it's the innnocence of an eyelash flutter across the room.
it's loss of appetite.
it is giving all you have, when you have nothing.
love consumes you.
it ruins you.
it's a high you will only feel once.
it is not you.
