Healing

Now I find I'm on the ground again

And this time I just don't have strength to stand

So I'm gonna refocus and for now stay where I am

I'll look up from the pit and praise you with outstretched hands

For there's nothing I can do on my own

And all the answers you've already shown

Sometimes the pain digs down and knocks on my bones

But as hard as it gets I remember I'm never alone

God, you made me and you don't make mistakes

And when it comes to love all I ever do is take

I wanna start over, I know it's never too late

I have been adopted and your children you wont forsake

How utterly selfish and vile and cruel

And how stupid, how often I've acted the fool

A filthy rag is all I have, but in you I find renewal

God I want to delve into your spirit, jump in the pool

Thank you for creating me and giving me life

Thank you for being there in the midst of my strife
