Healing Through Love

Who has caused your sorrow?

Who has caused your pain?

Who has taken you from your freedom, and placed you in these chains?

Will you let me heal your tears?

Will you let me be your strength?

Will you let me protect you from all your fears?

You say you are a prisoner,

A mocking bird in a cage

But you are so much more, than the words upon a page.

How can I describe you with one word?

How can I explain what I feel?

How can I ever possibly begin to heal?

Can you show me the way?

Can you repair my broken soul?

Can you help me and make me whole?

Your concern and love are genuine,

Of that I know I can believe

That you will give more, than I could ever hope to receive.

Promise me you won’t leave me

Promise me you won’t flee

Promise me you won’t lock the door, and throw away the key

For I will open up to you,

If your love is true.

I will shelter you from harm

And hold you in my arm.
