Healing Through Tears

I look inside the void And expect to find my heart But where it's s'posed to be Are pieces torn apart Numbness fills my thoughts I don't know what to do With silent screams I'm on my knees I'm crying out to You I want to hear your voice Tell me clear as day Where to go from here And how to find my way I'm lost in the desert Drowning in the sand My tongue thirsts for water It's then you take my hand You guide me on the path And show me where to go Though I am inadequate You already know You formed me in the womb You have a plan for me You know I'm lost without you So you died to set me free Now I'm in Your arms A refuge when I'm weak Your spirit touched me gently A hand upon my cheek With courage I arise You're right there by my side I see with spirit eyes Angels armed to fight The enemy is strong But my Abba's so much stronger I'm overcome alone But I'm not alone no longer An easy road I’ll never find And often fall my tears Life ain’t always easy But you always calm my fears I know I still have scars But jesus still does too On that tree he hung for me And said, “It is through.” I find an inner strength To overcome my fears You whisper softly in this storm “There’s healing through the tears.”
