A Healthy Distraction

The air in the room is still and thick with heat,

the lights are off, the screen is on, and though its dark, morning will hit her soon.

Tierd eyes hide behind her wire glasses reflecting images of her obssession.

Bitten finger nails lay pray to her gittery teeth,

just one more, just one more, she thinks.

I must watch and wait until i cant take it no longer,

a purposeful oppression so that all my energy is drained,

so that the next day i wont have to be fully awake,

not completly conscience of my painfully long, unavoidible day.

im left with a lesser feeling and hardly the strength to move,

but when i make my way home again and confine me in my room,

i think of a healty distraction to sucum to, an all the while,

the lights are off, the screen is on, and though its dark, morning will hit me soon.
