Healthy kind of Love.

Respect is what he promises me. 

Respect is what I deserve, what I crave.

Even more than the craving to be loved and loved on.

I deserve him to love me in a way that is selfless

but I'm selfish. 

A perfect love goes both ways. 

I must respect him too, I must have compassion. 

He'd do anything for me, but will I do the same?

He deserves me to love him in a way that is selfless

but I must not be selfish. 

To care and love each other is all we want

To be brave and hold each other tightly,

to love and respect ourselves so we can love each other

is all we really need. Everyone deserves a love that is selfless,

Even when we tend to be selfish.
