Healthy Love

Were it simple, it would ever be done.

Were it plain, no one would bother.

But love is a thundering force, my friend;

Humanity's highest honor.

True love connot be managed or contained.

It roars fiercer than a river.

True love cannot be corrupted or sour.

It's pure, and cannot be bitter.

Love can be perceived, by a young searcher,

To be based on physical traits.

But this is lust, not true love, dear seeker,

For true love is purely innate.

Beware, my friends, for those who are shallow,

who wish for basic affection.

These people will manipulate this 'love'

These folks are cruel beyond mention.

But true love is patient, true love is kind.

It humbles all who engage.

Love is a defender, it is hopeful,

More sacred than man can arrange.
