A Healthy Relationship

A Healthy Relationship means:

Trust is earned, not taken

And there are no hearts breakin’.

You don’t always need your way;

Try giving others a say.

A healthy relationship means:

Learning how to say no

When you don’t want to go,

And when to say yes

Even though you couldn’t care less.

A healthy relationship means:

Unless I want it to be known

My private life is my own.

And harmful secrets between two

Are for others – not me and you.

A healthy relationship means:

That I care for you, and you for me

But others can still join our family.

We stay faithful throughout the years

And grow together with many tears.

A healthy relationship means thus:

We strive for goodness in all that we do

Working together to reach what’s true.
