A healthy relationship is different for everyone

A healthy relationship?

What does that even mean in this day and age?

He likes all of your pictures on Instagram?

She snaps you naked pictures of herself when you're having a bad day?

He texts all the guys that are hitting you up, trying to scare them away?

She goes on your Instagram, blocking all the girls that follow you?

As crazy as that sounds,

for most couples

that is what a "healthy relationship" is considered to be.

But not for me.

A healthy relationship, for me,

consists of

Trust.

Communication.

Love.

Lust.

Balance.

Honesty.

Understanding.

Respect.

Yes, the times have changed,

but the definition of what a healthy relationship is

hasn't.

Because I Love You.

Does that justify everything now?

That shouldn’t be an excuse for anyone’s actions.

It should only be said when it is a sentimental moment.

Not to use as a justification for something you've done.

The word love, to me, is sacred.

I know for a fact that I will only use it when I mean it.

Most people just throw it around like it’s nothing.

But to me, saying the words "I Love You" has such a pull on everyone’s heart

that it shouldn't just be like any other phrase.

To me, when someone says "I love you"

and I respond with the same three words,

I know

it is meant to be.
