heard

Someone used to tell me

“The things you like are stupid”

I was afraid

To be passionate

To share freely

To let go

So when I opened my mouth

To share with you

I was terrified you’d think the same things

I thought about myself

But your ears

Your eyes

Your mind

Were open

And so my heart opened too
