Hearing the Truth
Boom! Pow! Kick. Ow.
It's all I hear when your near,
Kick, Slap, Punch,
It's what I fear when your near.
Spit, profanitity, and disrespect.
It's all I ever get.
But one day, one day I heard something new.
It wasn't a kick, spit, or profanitity.
It was a sound I hadn't heard in a very long time.
It was a person telling me this was enough.
This person help me escape.
I recognize this voice it was oh so familiar
I stood up to see it was me.
The woman in the mirror
