The Heart

The heart is a place of love A place of mercy With pureness like the white of a dove I have no currency For when the love of the heart will end The love of the heart can stretch and bend So I try to use my heart as a thing of love, beauty, Pureness and strength The heart can never end its love length I will choose now to make my heart pure To only the one I love I thought it’s hard sometimes, But God will help me through all the times That I feel lonely I know my husband will hold me closely But when we reach the end, I know his love is what he’ll lend, To help me through Helping me to know our love is true.
