Heart and Paint Splatters
Her heart still beats with its paint splatters dripped across her chest,
she looks out the window to think she is okay,
to think of the day that you could see her truely.
Her emotions go deeper than the sea,
her purest thoughts like a sweet melody from an ancient lullaby,
her eyes brighter than a millions stars in the night sky.
Her eyes see a perspective enstitched in her soul,
it derived since she had tiny hands and feet,
and unto a little girl with mud smudged on her cheeks.
Its the chalk covering her hands on the sidewalk with grass stains on her toes,
it's the moments she couldn't have choose,
oh she don't know how beautiful it really was,
moments of authenticity covered her heart like paint splatters.
Take me back to the ice cream factory,
when my grandpa lifted me up to see through the glass,
with chocolate ice cream dripping off my bottom lip and nose.
Take me back to the adventures in my head,
with just a journal and a pen,
it's back when I saved the world,
in a battlefield wiping war paint off my face.
It's when I wrote my whole heart away,
writing and believing life could be like a real fairytale.
Take me back to the summer days,
jumping into a big lake,
and picturing it in some kind of special way.
Take me back to the little girl who lifts up her bright eyes and soft voice,
who melted hearts when it was down in the dumps,
She twirls in her church skirt and exclaims,
"look at me!"
Here's a cheers to the little girl who grew up,
who used to dance to all her favorite Disney songs,
who is still dancing to her own beat.
Her heart still lives like the little girl who could capture your heart,
covered in her authentic paint splatters.
Now she wishes to feel noticed,
or her heart without the lonely,
make her dreams come true.
But don't worry baby,
you'll go far,
don't be scared to jump with your new wings,
the ravens will clear the sky,
and your delicate monarch wings will have its flight.
Your beauty is beyond compare,
and with a heart like yours,
no way they can't see it,
because your beauty and authenticity are like paint splatters across your heart.

I am a girl who loves to write with a passionate heart! I currently attend college with an Applied Sciences degree. I hope to be a writer along the side. But most importantly, to share my thoughts and God- given talents with others I hope to inspire through it.
