The Heart of an Author

Kyrra gives me strength,

Syra helps me fly,

Rona gives me laughter,

Caravi hears my cry.

Vixen's power gives me might,

Starry guides me through starless night.

Throughout my books, one and all

Lie the pieces of my heart;

Read them and you will know me.

For Kyrra embodies my strength,

Syra, my hope to fly,

Rona, my humor,

Caravi, my compassion, which is why,

Vixen shows my rage,

And Starry my path will show

Sahi my hope for a normal life

Though Alicia's nature shatters that hope

The complexities of myself

Can be listed with their names

And where mine will be forgotten

Theirs will rise in fame

These holders of the pieces

Of my heart all the while

Become me, and I become them

They shine behind my smile
