Heart Broken

Took us forever to get here. While typing this I am tasting salt from my overflowing eyes as tears drip past my mouth. I know not how to feel or act. I know not how to not react, nor how to let go for never until now have I known true loves unyielding weight. I feel horrible inside from the trust broken, hearts on different paths, souls no longer being recognized as the others mate. In my mind the only way to respond is to fight for us. Is this futile. Is this love really dead. Can anything at all save this heart broken vessel from sinking. Where one falls another may rise. No rekindled or revamped lovers quarrel, nor nesting partner. A new beginning seems inevitable as we begin to accept what's at hand. I'm the saddest I've ever been.
