the Heart has eyes

I gaze around me and yet my eyes are practically blind,
I see the surface i never try to look below whether human,
Animal, tree's or anything i gaze past as if nothing of is
any importance...but today i watched a man dead inside as
i have ever been before as he stared down into the eyes
of A baby Girl he knew was not his own he wept for the child
that was who had lost her mother he struck out at us all
anger, pain, confusion sadness and pure agony because when he got
home he knew he'd lay his baby down and when morning came
and his little one got up she'd ask him heart full of sadness and confusion
"where is my mommy?" he has no answer....she was shot dead on the street
i look around now after this my eyes are open no longer blind but yet even more so as tears fill my gaze i realize my heart has finally begun to see
everything it was blind to
