Heart on Her Wrist
Let me tell you a story,
about a girl trapped in her own world,
living in darkness and silence,
voices speaking and forever bleeding,
she lives in her dreams and refuses to awake,
a mental earthquake changes her,
but forever she smiles,
she laughs and waves,
hiding away all of her pain,
she looks happy,
smiles brightly,
eye's that light with fake happiness,
but it's all a facade,
as life breaks her down,
she continues on and persists,
but as everyone should know,
every story has a twist,
that girl was me,
the one who wore her heart on her wrist.
