Heart Lock

I locked my heart

I threw away the key.

Knowing from the start

Nobody was going to hurt me

Not again, never again

oh how silly I had once been.

I was wounded before,

My heart was torn

Then he came along

And he changed it all

It all seemed so wrong

How could I let myself fall?

Again? Again.

How dare I?

How silly I had been.

could my heart try,

One more time?

I spent nights

Wondering how

I spent days

Thinking like I do now

It all seemed unrealistic at first

Wanting him to stay

But now my heart

Wouldn't have it any other way
