Heart of Mind

How come when you say such simple words

I end up feeling withdraw

Like a mental patient desperatley looking for pain killers

You say those 4 words easily as it slips off of your tounge

And so I reason that this feels right, acting numb to your true intentions

I reason that this is normal

This is what love is supposed to feel

While you heal your ego with burying mine

I quietly weep into my shadow of once what was a true love

Maybe comfort is the one to blame for this abuse of powerplay

But all I know is that the key to freedoms gate are

Long gone, Just like our love.
