Heart Spilled

What does it mean to be truly free,

If I asked you this could you answer me?

And what does it mean to be whole,

Am I not complete?

Thoughts like these rush in

On lonely nights when I can't sleep.

And I can't speak,

I feel mute.

I feel I need something absoute,

Some absolute truth.

And I've come far, well maybe not,

Maybe I've  just forgot.

When my head gets like a TV screen,

Playing that static, fuzzy scene.

And sometimes I want to scream,

And sometimes I scream.

But there are nights when I do dream,

And I dream

And dream.
