Heart of steel

My heart is slowly turning into steel I wonder how it will feel to not feel Slowly becoming void Slowly drifting away I wonder how it will feel Once I've drifted off Will they remember how it feels To not have me here I wonder how they will feel Once I drift off Too a place unknown I wonder if they will remember my pleas My screams My tears I wonder if they will remember my eyes My smile Slowing fading away My laugh dying down I wonder how it will feel Too have a heart of steel Where only memories of tomorrow remain Tears of today stain Dreams of yesterday slain I wonder how it will feel TO have a heart of steel
