Heartbreak

You dont know who you are

until you sift through the shards

of your broken self

and find the courage to put the pieces back in place

I can not live without heartache

because it forces me to grow

through tears and screams and curses

I have learned what many know:

that even though the cracks may sting

like cupid's arrow's bite,

life goes on and on it goes

don't let it dim your light.
