Heartbreak

It's hard to love with only promises of heart break
You give someone love swith all your heart and it all goes away
The beautiful butterflies that once resided in your stomach have flown away
leaving a dark and desolated place with no sunshine in sight
The joyful memories that once resided in your mind
have brought tears to your eyes
The radiant smile that once resided on your face
has vanished leaving only a mournful look full of regrets
Can you regret the happy thoughts and lessons you've learned?
My heart says yes
How can you not regret the happy thoughts and lessons learned
when your heart is quickly drowning in harsh tides
But then how do you love when love seems to be synonyms with pain
Love is not for the weak at heart
Knives will be thrown scractches will be left
You wait in the hospital wondering if they will ever heel
Will they go away or stay forever as a reminder to never love again
To never have those euphoric memories with the one you once loved
Its not safe to say that you love
Taking the life jacket off of your heart is never an easy thing to do
For the sea is deceiving
At first it's calm and majestic beauty brings you in and makes you feel safe
But then there are only two options
Swim or drown
With the raging sea now screaming that it will pull your heart straight to the
bottom
Now that it's too late to put the life jacket back on
It's floated away leaving you behind to suffer the consequences on loving
