Heartbreak
Take a breath and look away
The pain you feel isn't here to stay
Close your eyes and count to five
Feel the numbness, you're still alive
Listen to the rhythm of your heart
Let yourself fall apart
Vent to the friend that's always there
You'd be surprised about how many care
Don't go down without a fight
Don't let someone smother your light
Stay true to who you are
Don't chase people who've ran too far
Turn off the pounding inside your head
Close your eyes and go to bed
Life is full of twists and turns
You character, a reflection of your scars and burns
Find the things that make you whole
Don't let others darken your soul
Be risky and take a chance
Learn how to make up your own dance
