heartbreak

Love is like an ink
Its stains of which you are cursed
A mark you bear forever
Of the one that you loved first

To love is to be foolish
To fall in love is suicide
A twisted thing-love is
A pain you can’t describe

Take heartbreaks hand
And it will drag you down under
When love had rescued you from below
It’s now pulling you asunder

You wipe off your dirty knees
And try to stand on your feet
But heartbreak has no feelings
To its power you can’t compete

It knocks you off your feet
And kicks while you’re down
It shows no pity or mercy
It’ll hold you under until you drown

A slow tear dripping from your chin
Or the downward curve of your lips
Heartbreak shows up everywhere
Just like finger prints

Although you may not believe me
I’ve warned you from the start
I’ve felt heartbreaks fatal touch
It weaves it like an art

Heartbreak, so inevitable-
A loaded gun from the start
Darling, you pulled the trigger
And the bullet pierced my heart
