Heartbreak

Heartbreak,

A shattering event for one person.

The other person is left unscathed.

The shattered soul grows:

Maturity, morals, and understanding.

The protected soul grows too:

Ego, selfishness, and judgment.

Which soul is the victor?

The one who is not aware they have grown or the one who thinks they have?
