Heartbreak is never easy
Heartbreak
As gruesome as venom that breaks past the barriers of your skin and enters your bloodstream
Hard to break away from
Just like broken glass
That is empaled in your fingertips,
Tiny shavings of glass,
But you can still feel every shard of pain that it pokes you with.
Heartbreak
Like intoxication
When the overdose almost killed everything in it's sight,
Yet the body fought to keep itself alive,
Still, the aftermath of it all is compelling.
Heartbreak is something that you would think is easy to disperse from,
But heartbreak is almost as impossible to flee from the soul;
As it's own soul, from the body...
