You changed my life forever that one day,

When you made me yours and two became one.

You promised me that you were here to stay.

To me you brought joy, happiness, and fun.

To be together I gave up so much,

But our love was so real, so strong, so true.

Nothing was better than your calming touch,

For you there was nothing I would not do.

As time passed the good and bad left their mark.

While I knew the bad was only for now,

You believed lies and fell into the dark.

Where went the meaning of promise and vow?

And yet, while I should hate you, here I stand,

With my heart so broke, but my love so grand.
