Heartbreaker

Keep saying it’s fine.
But I know how it is to love someone, 
And then have your heart ripped out.
They make it seem like it’ll last forever.
Forever is what you hoped for.
And then the crash and burn.
“It’s okay, I understand”
Or
“I saw this coming” 
But you couldn’t prepare for this hurt.

"I never meant to hurt you"
God, how those words linger in my mind.
I never thought I’d say them
And here they are spilling out of my mouth.
Now I’m a heart breaker 
Whose gotten her heart broken 
A million times over.
I never wanted to cause that pain.
But I did and I’m sorry.
