Heartless
Day by day
Year by year
Months go by
But still no tear
What happened to
The child I used to know
Now the boy is blue
But allows no tears to flow
Inside is excruciating pain
But what people see is nothing
They see a thug, a troubled child
But he just wants to feel something
He looks to kill the pain that he can't express
Skin deep he looks perfect but go deeper he is a mess
So he goes to the only thing that he knows
Taking something to numb the pain that he never shows
Hurting the ones he loves the most
Bringing pain to the ones that socialize
With him. He soon notices what
he inflicted. Now he has opened eyes
For so long he had no soul
For so long he was heartless
He had no emotions
Walking, but a carcass
Those who loved him
Helped him through his addictions
Those who loved him
Helped him heal his inflictions
People said he was worthless
They thought the words were harmless
No blood coursed through his veins
But he is no longer heartless
