Heartless

Take me I'm yours But there’s some things you gotta know before We take this dive into love You’ve seen me at my best but not at my worst And there’re some things I gotta tell you first I can be shallow and unthinking Does it mean I’m heartless? I’m not very sensitive Does it prove me heartless? Sometimes I don’t care at all Can you love me in spite of this? I’m so guarded life has been rough They say I’m heartless but I call it tough I've seen too many people hurt Too many hearts broken I vowed to never let that happen to me A rule unspoken I gotta know Can you love someone Who’s been told they’re heartless? How do I love you If I am so heartless? I don’t wanna lose you ‘Cause I feel I am heartless I don’t wanna push you away By saying things I don’t mean Stuff that shows the heartless side of me But I need you in my life So will you stay by my side? And help this heartlessness die? Can you truly love someone Who’s been told they are heartless? How do I love you If I really am heartless? And I don’t wanna lose you I don’t wanna be heartless
