It feels cold here without you...
Its funny how much a hug can do.
Arms filled with warmth that surround you...
However your hugs were more than a comfort...
You not only handed me your heart
but wrapped it around me as a mantle.
Both protection and promise,
your love was my shield and sword against a world full destruction.
The mirror with which I could look into and find myself,
while the tempest of a painful world bombarded us.
Somehow I felt as if I knew myself only because I knew you.
Your heart was my lodestone
Leading me to best parts of myself that I never knew existed...
It feels cold here without you...
With the loneliness know only by the dark wolf in a cold forest calling to it's twin reflection.
The darkness seen only by that which lives within it.
As if the sun was blotted out and the moon lost her light...
Left adrift...
Fighting a lone battle in the dark,
no shield, no mantle,
no sword...
It feels cold here without you,
Love...
