Hearts Left On The Ground

The wings of a bird Fly free, unheard But seen surely Plainly, purely What do we not see That makes birds so free? Flying with grace In wide open space The wind on their back And nothing they lack What do we not see That makes birds so free? We wish to be birds But with empty words Our hearts won't believe What we can achieve Is that what we don't see That makes birds so free?
