The Heart's Song

a world

of

quiet

its

expectations

push you

down

your voice

is

somewhat

silenced

compared

ridiculed

discarded

you hold

your head

up, but

you begin

to drown

you are

less

less

defined

less

sure

less

you

for no one

is perfect

when no one

knows

love

an echo

it resonates within the empty cave

of your heart

you hear your name softly resound

whispered through tender lips

barely apart

but it continues to build

it thunders, it reaches a crescendo

from their conviction

you find your own voice

unique, unparalleled

as you love,

you are loved

together you make a song and the

love makes you

a beat

it enters- the beginning of a symphony

thump-thump, thump-thump

you are alive, you are strong, you are passionate, you are you

you become one of many

and one of few

thump-thump, thump-thump

you have found love, and now love has found you

love makes you

flaw-less. flaw-less. flaw-less. flaw-less. flawless. Flawless.
