Hearts, Words, and Thoughts

Broken Heart,

Empty Words,

Crippled Thoughts

No Remorse.

Eye to Eye,

Her gaze is fixed,

Mine is weak,

She says she’s over it.

My self-doubt,

It still plagues me,

Now I’m sure,

I don’t know who to be.

Nothing to say,

I’m so tongue-tied,

Head in hands,

But I can’t say I tried.

I can’t look,

A piercing stare,

It’s short-lived

I know she doesn’t care.

Broken heart…

Empty words…

Crippled thoughts…

No remorse…
