The Heat, the Ocean and Her

We married in the summertime.

Roses in your hair,

you glowed with happiness

and shone with care.

As we faced each other,

I thought I'd never forget

the way you smiled,

the way your hair curled,

the way your lipstick matched your flowers.

I thought I'd never be this happy again,

I almost burst.

But then you shock me awakened said,

"We're almost there."
