Heather in Her Own Eyes

I AM..

A free spirit,

A young beauty,

A Diamond in the rough,

A teenage girl.

I AM..

A Scream in the night,

A teardrop of a scared mother

A girl trapped in her fear.

I AM..

A recovering Soul,

A beautiful force,

A wonderful being.

I AM..

A nightmare that never ends,

A cloud of gray, in a sky of blue,

A silenced girl, who almost gave up.

I AM..

A believer

A recovering night

An understanding being.

I AM..

A Survivor of a crime known so well,

Of a crime that occurs to often

Of a Kidnap,

Of a Molestation,

I AM..

Heather in her own eyes.
