Heaven

Location

Reaching Heaven may seem unobtainable

Trust me, I've been there

I've seen things

And I've heard things

And I've said things

But I really haven't done things

Actions are supposed to speak louder than words

But for me, words were all that defined me

In school they call me quiet

What no one understands is the loud infinities I hold inside

And the true reason I never rant out loud

Because if I did,

I'd never shut up

Which is why I'm saying no one should be afraid

Because I've made that mistake too many times

If Heaven is really so unobtainable,

Then why sometimes do I feel so close?

Why when I hold my best friend

Or open the door for someone on wheels,

I feel a little closer to those golden roads?

Being afraid to do the right thing

Clouds our brains and makes it easier to do the wrong thing

I used to let the fear take over

Because that's all it is: cowardice

And in the end it makes you quiet and lonely

So don't be afraid to smile at that kid across the hall

They might be ready to break just like you

And no one knows when Heaven may come
