Heaven is the answer
So we shall roam the streets dead inside?
Is there no more salvation for us?
Are we aborted forever?
Shall we never enter your gates with thanksgiving?
A shell of the fire that once consumed us
Is all that is left of us
Is growing up hard as we imagined?
We thought metamorphosis only happened on rocks
We have morphed into skeptical giants
Dwarfing our skepticism by circumstance
Every teardrop is precious
All sweat drops are golden
We know you exist
We just want your visit
Hear us out for all times sake
Shall we walk the streets god forsaken
Our innocence was stolen in our sleep
At the wake it was no time to weep
We were utterly oblivious of the obvious
There is no blue sky
Just an illusion cast forth by reflections
If you let us burn, dear God
We wanna burn with you
For you are the life in us
Preserve what you created
We don't care where the dead go when they die
We want to be were you are
Where ever you will be.
