Heaven Forbid

You know me

You just don't remember me

You could tell me what happened when I couldn't sleep at night

Becuase heaven forbid your girlfriend have nightmare

You could tell me all the pretty names you called me

Becuase heaven forbid I forget that I"m beautiful

Because your hands fit directly between mine

In those spaces and gaps

Because heaven forbid my hands get cold

You could tell me why you love me

Because heaven forbid you ever leave

You could tell me I was a force of nature

Because heaven forbid I forget that I am made of stardust

That I have the universe in my veins

And stars in my eyes

You could tell me you would never leave me

Because heaven forbid I ever be heartbroken

Heaven forbid I ever write 1000 poems about you

About us

About how we ended

How we fell apart

Turned to dust

But heaven isn't here anymore

Isn't in the way your hands fit to mine

Isn't in the way you smile

Isn't in the way you tell me I"m beautiful

Because as soon as I started dating you I traded

Heaven for Hell

Traded a prince for an opressor

Traded Disney for Grimm

Becuase I learned that happily ever after doesn't exist with you

Unless happy has become a synonym for scared to death

Because trust me

You

Know

Me
